I recently learned that liquid smoke flavouring is harmful for one’s health. This Maplewood sea salt is so delicious and such a nice alternative. It has a wonderful scent. I use it on my avocado toast and it really steps up the flavour. I love that there are no chemicals used in making this. The flavour of maple comes from actual a maple wood being smoked for several days underneath the sea salt flakes that are harvested right from the Pacific waters off the coast of Vancouver Island. Now that is what I call Canadian’s finest!

This would make a fantastic gift for any foodie in your life. It’s a unique and very tasty product.

They have such a rich and complex flavour. almost sweet from the maple but also smoky and deep. I have been delighted in topping off many dishes with them and also made home made bread which I sprinkled a few flakes on top of and within to serve and it was magnificent.
